Wrought iron thumb latch and keeper by Scottish Lion

Colonial thumb latch and keeper by Andrew Leck, Scottish Lion. This is a spade end thumb latch that is 13 inches from tip to tip , made for a large door it has all the working iron works to be mounted in a wood door. The latch on one side of the door then the other side has the scroll end bar to be lifted to also open the door from the other side. Just as the colonial hardware was made the ends of the staples were pounded in like a nail and then cinched over to hold in place. Other styles can be made .
